Terms of service
The agreement between you and AppMoney when you use the app. The short version: it is free, the figures are estimates, and they are for your own use.
Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or using AppMoney, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, delete the app. If you are using AppMoney for an employer, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
Your licence to use the app
AppMoney is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and this website on devices you own or control, for your own research and business use. Deleting the app and closing your account ends the licence.
Accounts
You can browse without signing in. An account is optional and exists to sync your watchlists and saved filters across devices. Keep your password to yourself, use an address you control, and tell us if you think someone else is in your account. One account is for one person; sharing logins across a team is not permitted. You can close your account at any time, and we may close it if you breach these terms. What an account stores is set out in the privacy policy.
The figures are estimates
Revenue, download, growth and ranking figures are supplied to us by licensed third-party market data providers and are modelled estimates. They may be incomplete, out of date, or materially different from a developer's actual results. Figures may change as providers revise their models, and an app's appearance in AppMoney does not imply any relationship with, or endorsement by, its developer.
Not financial advice
Nothing in AppMoney is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, an offer, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. You are responsible for the decisions you make with it, and for any independent verification those decisions deserve.
What you may not do
- Scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically download the data, or use bots and scripts against our service.
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute or republish the figures as a dataset, or build a competing product from them.
- Present the figures as audited or developer-confirmed results, or strip the estimate framing when quoting them.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app, our service, or their security.
- Use AppMoney unlawfully, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights.
Quoting a figure in an article, deck or post is fine when you credit AppMoney and make clear it is an estimate. We may rate-limit or block access that breaks these rules.
Ownership and trademarks
The app, its design and the AppMoney name are ours or our licensors'. App names, icons and screenshots shown in AppMoney belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only. Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.; AppMoney is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, categories or data sources, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Because the app is free, we do not promise any particular level of availability.
No warranties
AppMoney is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any figure. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the narrowest exclusion permitted by law applies.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppMoney is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities or business losses, arising from your use of the app or reliance on its figures. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to US$100 in aggregate, reflecting that the app is provided free of charge. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use AppMoney after an update means you accept it. For a significant change we will say so in the app.
